West Loop Quiet Zone

Please be advised that there will be an increase in train horn use within the West Loop and Washington Quiet Zones. Union Pacific will be performing crossing maintenance on the below crossings below from 8:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. starting Monday July 24 and ending Sunday July 30.  A Maintenance Order has been issued for affected crossings and train crews will be required to sound their horns for on track safety for the men and equipment working. Depending on the proximity of the crossings some horn sound may "bleed over" into adjacent Council Districts.
