June 2016 General Meeting Announcement

The second quarter General Meeting will take place on June 14th, 2016 at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall of Willow Meadows Baptist Church, 4300 West Bellfort, Houston, Texas 77035. Topics will include general association business, standing committee reports, unfinished and new business (including an update on neighborhood construction, panhandling near Willow Meadows, expenditure for signage repair, management company for deed restrictions enforcement, need for additional board members and picnic chair), and a "sense of the assembly."

 

May 2016 Board Meeting Announcement

There will be a meeting of the Willow Meadows Civic Club Board of Directors on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at 7:00pm at United Orthodox Synagogues, 9001 Greenwillow Drive, in the Library. Topics may include general association business, including unfinished business and new business.

 

April 2016 Board Meeting Announcement

There will be a meeting of the Willow Meadows Civic Club Board of Directors on Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 at 7:00pm at United Orthodox Synagogues, 9001 Greenwillow Drive, in the Library. Topics may include general association business, including unfinished business and new business.

 

Willow Waterhole Music Fest 2016

Join us Saturday April 23rd 11am-10pm and Sunday April 24th 11am-9pm at Willow Waterhole Park for two days of free live music in a relaxed setting, featuring 16 professional bands and 10 area schools!

Bring your favorite lawn chairs and blankets. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Recycling to Continue but Glass no Longer Accepted

The City of Houston and Waste Management have reached tentative agreement on a new 2-year contract that will allow the city to continue offering recycling services without any disruption. The only change in service that Houstonians will notice is the elimination of glass from the list of items that are acceptable for placement in the green curbside single-stream recycling bins.  Glass, currently has no value on the commodities market, breaks down during collection and transportation and is unduly destructive to the processing equipment.

Residents will still have the option of dropping off glass for recycling at the City's neighborhood depositories.
